Redland Bay
Just 40 minutes from downtown Brisbane you'll find the Redlands region. In Redlands, all roads lead to the Bay. The landscape is diverse, ranging from glistening beaches to mountain tops.
The area offers a range of activities ranging from bay cruises and island hopping, to guided heritage tours and cultural walks.
World class surf beaches, pristine national parks, walking trails and historic buildings can all be found in Redlands.
Every Sunday Bayside markets bring the town centre alive as local artists and craftspeople display and sell their wares.
You'll also find one of the largest sand islands in the world. North Stradbroke Island along
with smaller islands in Moreton Bay offering tranquillity, secluded beaches and great fishing. Over the years the region has
grown a diverse mix of fruit and vegetables and today, visitors and locals still enjoy purchasing farm fresh fruit
and vegetables from roadside stalls.
Redland Bay is the gateway to the Bay Islands with regular ferry and barge services departing for Russell, Lamb, Macleay
and Karragarra. One of the first areas in Queensland to be settled, the Shire hosts a wealth of history and a selection of
contrasts, and is classified as excellent sightseeing.
Being close to the city centre but light years from the pace, Redlands on Moreton Bay, on the clean green
Koala Coast, is a daytripper's and holidaymaker's dream. Arts, crafts, nature, food and wine, superb beaches, resorts, four
wheel drive tours ... plenty to do, but where relaxation has also become an artform!

Take Old Cleveland Road or Wynnum Road from the city and head east to Moreton Bay.
